Standard Degree Map Requirements/User Stories

Student (current and prospective)

  1. As a student, I want to search for an find a degree map, so that I can what classes I might take and when in order to guarantee on-time completion and state financial aid compliance
  2. As a student, I want to see a description of a specific major or broad interest area, so that I can determine if that is a good major for me to choose.
  3. As a student, I want to see a link to relevant career resources, so I can determine if this is a good fit for my interests
  4. As a student, I want to see the beginning term of a degree map, so I can be sure it matches my start date
  5. As a student, I want to see the expected on-time graduation date, so I know what my guaranteed graduation date is, should I follow my degree map 
  6. As a student, I want to see the specific required courses listed by semester, so that I know what to take in order to be on-map and guarantee on-time graduation
  7. As a student, I want to see a complete list of eligible general education courses, so that I can choose a course that will allow me to stay on-map and guarantee on-time graduation
  8. As a student, I want to see a complete list of eligible elective courses, so that I can choose a course that will allow me to stay on-map and guarantee on-time graduation
  9. As a student, I want to see if a course is a critical course, so I know that I must complete that course by the indicated term in order to stay on-map and guarantee on-time graduation

  1. As an advisor, I want to search for an find a degree map, so that I can advise students about which courses they need to take and the timing of courses in order to guarantee on-time completion and state financial aid compliance
