On Track!
The Functional Council and Product Manager have completed reviewing the requirements for Phase 1.  The technical team is reviewing them for complexity and effort level.  The four sponsoring institutions are the University of Indiana, Iowa State University, the University of Maryland and the University of Washington.  The First Implementing Institution will be the University of Washington.

Recent Accomplishments

The KSFA Functional Council and Product Manager have been meeting via phone weekly to finalize the Phase 1 requirements and define the milestones.  The only remaining tweaks may be done after the Technical Kickoff meeting in Maryland on August 7-8.

Key Issues and Risks

Medium - The KSFA Technical Team is working on a gap analysis report that will identify gaps between the desired functionality for the entire project and both KRAD and KRMS.  This report will be delivered to the KSFA Steering Committee for recommendations on how to proceed.

Upcoming Tasks

The Product Manager, KSFA (Orange) Team, KS Project Manager, UW FII Technical Team and other KS Technical resources are all scheduled to meet in Maryland on August 7-8 for a technical Kickoff conference.  The topics will include the direction to take regarding KRMS and KRAD and when those can be incorporated in the phase objectives.  Following this meeting, the FC will be able to sign off on the requirements and development will begin in earnest.
