Attractions

• Mountain Biking/Hiking in Forest Park - Forest Park is over 5000 acres of forest in the city. You can rent mountain bikes at Fat Tire Farm just down the street from the park. Take the #15 bus from downtown to Montgomery Park by the hotel to get to Fat Tire Farm and close to the lower entrance to the park. 
• Portland is famous for our Food Carts, many of them gourmet. The main downtown location is near the hotel. See this guide to Portland Food Carts and there's an iPhone app too.
• Waterfront Park down by the Willamette river is just a few blocks from the hotel.
• See why Portland is called the "City of Roses" at the enormous Rose Garden. It's incredibly beautiful and the oldest official, continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States.
• Around on Saturday/Sunday? There's the Portland Saturday Market downtown.
• 24-Hour Church of Elvis for a touch of Portland's quirky side, and then there's the Peculiarium over in my neighborhood
• Looking for tourists, bacon maple doughnuts, and cereal on a doughnut - check out Voodoo Doughnuts. The downtown location (22 SW 3rd Ave) is within walking distance of the hotel.
• Powell's City of Books is a bookstore that takes up a whole city block 
• Independent movie theaters are big in Portland and many offer pizza & beer along with your movie. See this review of theaters (including best art house theater Cinema 21 in my neighborhood - highly recommended)
