Two roadmap committees are being formed to guide coordination between the functional and technical aspects of Kuali projects.

The Technology Roadmap Committee

Responsible for goal-setting, for high-level technical architecture and tools, and for an evolving roadmap for the future. This replaces the current KTC and focuses on creating a technology direction over time. This Committee recognizes the challenges inherent in different timing for the applications which causes technology to get out of synch, and this Committee addresses those challenges by creating a roadmap for the evolution of the projects to common technologies when feasible. It is suggested that this Committee provide a semi-annual formal presentation to the Rice Project Board and to the Kuali Foundation Board.

The Application Roadmap Committee

Responsible for goal-setting, for high-level application architecture for integration of Kuali application projects, and for an evolving roadmap for the future. This group defines overall ownership of shared services among the 4 projects. The group defines projects, and charges specific SME groups to deliver specifications for those projects. This, along with the SME groups and Kuali Application Integration Working Group, replaces the current KIT team.
