The Kuali Foundation's role in membership services

The Kuali Foundation coordinates and maintains services for the Kuali community that include the kuali.org Web site, the JIRA issue tracking system, this Confluence wiki, Google Apps and Google groups (mailing lists), and other tools that provide Members with timely information on the Kuali software products and related activities. Members' fees entitle the institution to have access to any and all software developed by constituent kuali software initiatives and to any Kuali Foundation documentation, training and implementation support materials. These services facilitate the sharing of best practices in development, implementation, and support among members. This support infrastructure leverages shared economies in Kuali development and user support in order to sustain and evolve the growing comprehensive suite of open, modular and distributed administrative software systems for Carnegie-class institutions that bring the ease and universality of online services in keeping with the Kuali Foundation mission.

Project Managed Toolset

These tools are managed within each Kuali project. While Kuali will strive to develop vendor neutral applications and services using a variety of tools and frameworks available to each team, it is recommended that a minimum set of standard tools and frameworks be identified for ease of code sharing and consistency in the code base.
