Unit Test Process

  1. When you work on a bug fix or new feature you should create a unit test
  2. When you resolve the related JIRA you should add the name of the test class to the corresponding field on the JIRA issue

Tips for creating unit tests

IntelliJ

  1. In IntelliJ on any class you can navigate to its test
  2. If focused on the class select 'Navigate' > 'Test'
  3. If a test does not exist, it will give you the option to create a unit test
  4. Select JUnit4 for the testing library
  5. Select methods in class to add to the new test class
  6. Click Ok, and Intellij will create new test class with selected methods
  7. Add code new tests to test newly created code
